Welcome To Excellence

The Welcome to Excellence series of Customer Service Training Programmes has been developed by the Tourism Training Trust, in collaboration with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board to assist individuals and organisations in the service sector to provide first class standards of service on a consistent basis to both visitors and local residents.

Through Welcome to Excellence, service providers have the opportunity to:

  • achieve excellence in customer service
  • exceed guest needs and expectations
  • provide an environment where courtesy, helpfulness and a warm welcome are standard
  • focus and develop individual skills

The benefits of delivering quality customer service include:

  • higher levels of repeat custom
  • vital word-of-mouth recommendations
  • improved staff recruitment and retention

Courses are delivered by experienced trainers using a variety of training methods to highlight useful techniques and skills. The courses also encourage delegates to take an interest in their own personal development. A certificate and badge is awarded to delegates on completion of each course.

Larger companies may wish to nominate a member of staff to run one of the Welcome to Excellence course on an in house basis. The In house trainer may deliver the programme to staff on an ongoing basis as and when required.

New to the programme are Sector Specific Modules - these tailor made additions to the Welcome to Excellence suite of programmes allow industry specific knowledge to be applied to each of the training workshops.
