New Welcome Europe Trainers in Belfast

Belfast Boy's Model and Castle High School are the latest institutions to have teachers trained in the Welcome Europe programme.

The Boy's Model currently have two existing Welcome Europe trainers in the school, with Sonya Beattie and June Bingham becoming the latest teachers to embark on the programme.

The Boy's Model find the programme offers a fresh perspective for students learning a new language, with the programme also providing a CCEA certified accreditation within two weeks of completion.

Sonya Beattie of the Boys Model says of the Welcome Europe programme: "I feel this is an interesting programme that will motivate the pupils in my school. It is the first course that has excited the year 13 pupils in my school for quite some time - It's manageable and would not frighten boys who normally steer clear of a language!"

Sheila Smith from Castle High School has also become a Welcome Europe trainer - delivering the course as part of a GCSE in hospitality: "Pupils will thoroughly enjoy this course - It will be a great asset, present and future, no matter what career pupils choose."
