Key Objectives
The Key objectives of the Welcome Europe Workshop are:
- To encourage an "I can" approach to language through listening and speaking which is both enjoyable and confidence building.
- To anticipate the needs and expectations of our customers from Europe through an understanding of their culture and traditions.
- To establish your organisation as offering a European language-friendly environment.
- To enable Northern Ireland to compete with other countries as an international tourist destination thereby realising the economic potential of tourism.
Welcome Europe currently exists in French, German, Irish, Italian and Spanish with Japanese and Portuguese programmes currently being developed.
It is a twelve hour programme and may be delivered over four half days or two full days. Upon successful completion participants will receive accreditation from the awarding body, CCEA, in the language taken.
How do companies access the programme?
- Purchase training through Abbey Training Services. The trainer will deliver Welcome Europe at your location if required.
- Become a trainer. The train the trainer programme runs over one day and is held at Abbey Training Services. Once trained you may deliver the programme in company on an ongoing basis and in line with work schedules.
