E-learning - Assessments

As well as quizzes built into the e-learning presentation, there is often a need for standalone assessments and questionnaires. These have many varied uses e.g.

  • Pre and post-assessments for measuring learning and retention,
  • Questionnaires for measuring satisfaction
  • Performing online training needs analysis
  • Obtaining feedback from managers to measure performance changes and business impact
  • They can even be used outside the training domain, for tasks such as recruitment (online application form) or marketing (customer survey)

Assessments using restricted-choice answers (e.g. true/false, multiple choice, one word answer, ranking exercise) can be automatically marked by the computer system. The results can then be tabulated or graphed in a report. For open answer questions, the assessments can be marked online and the computer system will still take care of generating reports.
